Who we are

LUQOM GROUP is the leading digital platform for lighting fixtures in Europe. Through our online shops as well as our presence in key European marketplaces, we provide more than 500 suppliers with direct access to private and commercial customers across 27 countries. We offer customers more than 50,000 products through LUQOM GROUP’s online shops and channels: from value-level to premium design segment online shops, as well as private label brands to renowned design products.

LUQOM GROUP targets both consumers (B2C) and professional clients (B2B). All target groups benefit from our strong customer service which is tailored to local needs. B2B customers also value that we support them with professional lighting planning and other consulting services. LUQOM GROUP aims to create the best journey to individually design living spaces with light.

What drives us

We want to empower people to enhance their living spaces and their well-being through the various possibilities and the virtues of light. From the very beginning, our motivation was to disrupt the lighting market with LUQOM GROUP: We make products and services more accessible to all our customers – and thus empower them to make living spaces more attractive.

How we disrupt the market

The European lighting market is constantly evolving and is experiencing significant growth across digital channels. LUQOM GROUP plays a significant role in this development: As the leading digital platform in Europe, LUQOM GROUP operates across the entire value chain of the lighting industry – from the supplier and retail partner network, to logistics and private label brands, to our own online shops and in-house customer service.

LUQOM GROUP covers all significant steps of the value chain which together with our digital business model enables us to quickly and flexibly adapt our offering to meet the demand of various customers . This is how we enter new markets and segments and bring our vision to life: “Enhance people’s well-being”.

Our history

LUQOM GROUP was founded in 2017 with the goal of building Europe’s leading e-commerce platform for lighting fixtures.

As a first step, we acquired Lampenwelt, the leading e-commerce retailer in the German-speaking region, distributing high-quality lighting fixtures across all price segments. With our expertise, we have successfully grown Lampenwelt’s business model to various European markets.

In 2019, we acquired QLF, thereby adding the leading online retailer of lighting products in Benelux to our portfolio and thus strengthened our offering in the value-level segment. In 2021, we acquired the Danish company Lampemesteren, which enabled us to once again strengthen our offering even further – this time, in the premium design segment. As a result, we are now the leading digital platform in Scandinavia.

Ownership

Our aim for the future is clear: We want to attract even more customers with our offering, continue our growth journey and grow our position in Europe. To bring this goal to life, LUQOM GROUP is working with two strategic partners:

3i: 

3i is an international investment company with two complementary business areas: Private Equity and Infrastructure. As an active partner, 3i supports its portfolio companies not only financially, but also with specialist sector and value creation knowledge as well as management expertise to maximize the potential of its portfolio companies.

Project A: 

Project A is a venture capital firm supporting digital businesses. The company combines its financial commitment with operational support. In this way, Project A succeeds in quickly developing portfolio companies in line with their potential and needs.

We are aware of our responsibility towards the environment and society, and always strive for the most sustainable solutions. We aim to identify sustainable alternatives in our products and shipping processes. This is also how we think about in the continuous development of our business model, where we always take social and environmental aspects into account.
